The simplest answer is just one word: "Love"!
In two words, it's "Obsession".
A more accurate description would be, "I needed such a product, but since it didn't exist, I had to create one myself".
More than a decade ago, as someone who flew over 50 times a year, I would have an inexplicable worry before each takeoff. When I got to the root of what I was worried about, it was actually the concern that if something happened, I wouldn't have had time to arrange for my family's future.
If there had been a product that could safely and reliably solve this anxiety, I would have been a user long ago. But after ten years, surprisingly not a single product could properly implement this function. Ten years of waiting turned into an obsession to develop this product!
I know some people don't have this concern because they share everything with another person who knows all about them - their bank accounts, stock holdings, cryptocurrency private keys, and even the cash in their pockets. However, such pure love is precious and extremely rare.
In reality, the probability that the other person is financially illiterate (no offense intended, I just can't think of a better word, please understand!) is actually quite high. It's almost impossible to get them to take this issue seriously in advance and master all the platform asset information. Moreover, what if both people encounter problems? What about parents and children?
Some people are more independent and don't like interference in their investment choices, stock purchases, or asset selections. It's not that they're unwilling to share wealth with family, but they don't want to explain why they made these configurations. If they say they bought Trump coins to have dinner with the US President, is it strange that their 60-year-old father might think they've been scammed and want to call the police?
Therefore, a considerable number of people, while capable of independent management, find it inconvenient to share and transfer asset management rights. However, in case they lose their asset management capability, they hope to properly pass predetermined asset clues to designated recipients. The EXtrust feature we developed in Anchpor safely solves this problem, which is why I had to develop this product.
How do we ensure user asset security?
The best security is to completely avoid touching users' assets. Therefore, all the logic of this product is built on the foundation of "not touching assets" - when there's nothing for thieves to steal, that's true security.
How do we achieve this? Everyone can experience it first by finding the Try Asset Clue Extraction button on the "Clue Extraction" page.
During testing, you'll find that the decrypted asset clues are just account information for various platforms - not even login passwords are included. Family members need to go through strict KYC to access assets on these platforms, making this information almost useless to others.
We strongly remind users not to fill in complete private keys when setting up asset clues. EXtrust can still transfer offline encrypted assets without private keys. For example, you could leave a message saying "There's a Onekey in XX Bank's safe deposit box, the password is the eldest child's birthday." With creativity, there are many more "encryption" methods that only family members would understand - this is also a security measure users can implement themselves.
Through this security logic, users can understand that they don't need to worry about Anchpor posing any risks to their assets.
How do we ensure asset clues are only transmitted when necessary?
This is where the product's free features come in. Users can occasionally observe or adjust their total assets and allocation status using the free asset statistics function. This lets Anchpor know the user is active. If there's no activity beyond the set time, there will be in-site messages, emails, SMS, and even phone calls. As long as there's any feedback, Anchpor remains in a stable state. Only when there's no contact beyond the user-set time and after exceeding the user-set safety period will the system send asset clue files to preset recipients in sequence via SMS, email, phone, and registered paper mail, ensuring designated recipients receive the clues.
Will the product be open source?
This product was planned to be open source from its initial conception. Once the product's maturity and stability improve and it passes security audits, we will open source it, allowing the code to be publicly reviewed by all users. This is one of Anchpor's goals.
What are the next steps?
Anchpor hopes to give users more choices in asset clue transmission. For example, we may open premium user features where professional lawyers or accountants will deliver asset clue files in person during transmission. We're also considering providing professional assistance to help recipients who lack the capability to handle subsequent asset extraction and transfer. However, these are visions that require the current product to be good enough and trusted and used by enough people first.
I only hope that Anchpor is a tool that users can easily use to express their love for family, helping users pass on their trust and let love return!
